Why we chose it

This bet exists because GTA VI (releasing November 19, 2026) is the biggest launch in gaming history, and its radio soundtrack is a cultural event unto itself — Tom Petty's "Love Is a Long Road" saw a 37,000% Spotify streaming spike after Trailer 1, turning a 1989 song most under-30s had never heard into a viral moment. Kalshi is monetizing the guessing game. Rockstar has only officially confirmed six songs through its two trailers, so everything else is speculation fuel.

The specific slate is a "meme-canon" trap: these are the 2016-2021 rap/pop songs a normie would assume MUST be in a Vice City-set GTA (Migos, Weeknd, Post Malone, Farruko, Travis, Sheck Wes, Bieber/Fonsi, Future). They're all priced 36-45% — suspiciously high given none are confirmed. The bull case: contemporary artists like DJ Khaled, Schoolboy Q, and T-Pain are rumored, and GTA V shipped 240+ tracks and Online expanded past 750, so quantity favors YES.

The bear case: Rockstar leans deep-cut and era-specific (Miami 80s, kompa, reggaeton obscurities), actively avoiding the obvious Spotify Top 50 — making "Despacito" or "Blinding Lights" almost too on-the-nose to license.

Sal
Coin flip on Bad and Boujee means the crowd's betting the obvious, and Rockstar's whole brand is dodging the obvious. Vice City dodges chalk.
Eddie
Somewhere a Rockstar music supervisor already knows every answer, and the rest of us are pricing our guesses against their secret. That's every entertainment market.
